A marketplace about socialization and community. Meetups, classes, walks and dinners held by named people, with a price on the door. Gigs and jobs from people whose name, telephone and location are on file. Nobody here is anonymous, and nothing here is free — free costs everyone time and problems.

What makes this one different
  • Every seller was telephoned before their first listing.
  • Name, telephone and location on file — nomads welcome, with location on.
  • Flat fees, never a cut of the price. The seller’s price is the seller’s.
  • Every event costs at least $5. You register with a picture; the host decides who is in. Free has no value here.
  • Money is held until the work is done. Nothing is deleted — the record is the asset.
If you hold or go to events

A meetup with a price on the door, and faces at it.

  1. A verified host puts it on: what, when, where (a map and directions are made), a limit if needed, a picture, and a price — $5 at least.
  2. To come, register once with Gigapoo — name, telephone, email, hometown, where you are now, and your picture — and agree to pay. The host sees it all and lets you in, or not, or bars you.
  3. Approval opens your credit line. You pay Gigapoo by ACH through achpay.com — no interest — and Gigapoo pays the host. Who is coming is shown on the event.

Search by type — walk, talk, dinner, chess — or on the map. Every event is archived and can be copied by its host or anyone. Hosts, attendees, gig workers and the people who hire them are all reviewed: 140 characters, as written.

If you need someone

Post it, read the bids, pick a name.

  1. Say what you need, where (remote or at your place), and what you would pay.
  2. Verified sellers bid. You see their name, their town, their ratings, their dated work.
  3. Pay Gigapoo by card, up front; we hold it. Two days after delivery it goes to the seller by ACH. Credit lines are for events only.

Your side of the fee is flat: $10 on a sale. Work at your address needs your name and telephone too — the same rule both ways. Tick “anyone could do this” when no particular skill is needed.

If you can do something

Say what you do, name your price, get called.

  1. Your name, telephone, a photo, where you are. Nomad? Keep location on.
  2. A person telephones you. After that, you can list and bid on every site the engine runs.
  3. Your price is paid to you by ACH through achpay.com — put your achpay address on file, or you cannot be paid. The buyer pays the flat fee on top; on a card-paid gig, Stripe’s fee comes off your side.

Your side of the fee is flat: $25 on a written job, more for voice or a licensed opinion. Never a percentage. Find work near you on the map, and hear of new requests in the area you watch.

Nobody is anonymous.Sellers and in-place buyers: real name, real telephone, a location, a call. Enforced by the engine, not written on a page.
You say what you can do.No list of categories. Sellers describe the work in their own words at their own price; the market groups what people offer.

Nothing is deleted.Work, ratings and disputes are dated and kept. A revision gets a new date under the old one.
